Project Overview

Gunderson Uniforms & Linens needed a website overhaul to improve user experience, SEO performance, and support expansion into new markets. I led the redesign, creating a cleaner, more user-friendly layout that clearly separated their services and optimized for mobile. With a focus on SEO improvements and intuitive navigation, we successfully increased organic traffic and web leads, helping Gunderson better connect with potential customers.

Since 1952, Gunderson Uniform and Linen has provided customized linen rental services to healthcare facilities, restaurants, hotels, and resorts in Wisconsin. Led by the third generation of Gundersons, they have also expanded their services to offer uniform programs to automotive shops, manufacturers of all sizes, and more.

I was responsible for turning the design concepts provided by the design team into a fully functioning website. This involved translating the design into clean, responsive code, ensuring that the website was user-friendly, SEO-optimized, and mobile-responsive. I worked closely with the design team to bring their vision to life while also ensuring seamless functionality and performance.

Clean, User-Friendly Design: Reworked the site's structure to create a simple, clear layout that allows users to easily differentiate between uniform and linen services.

Mobile-First Approach: Ensured that the website was optimized for mobile users, improving accessibility across all devices.

SEO Overhaul: Implemented on-page SEO strategies, including optimized meta descriptions, headings, and content restructuring to improve visibility in search results.

Enhanced Conversion Pathways: Created clear calls-to-action and optimized forms to increase lead generation and conversion rates.

Challenge: The existing website was outdated, with poor navigation and user experience, making it difficult for visitors to find the information they needed.

Solution: I built a clean, responsive website that clearly organized the services, improving navigation and overall user experience. The new layout was optimized for mobile, making it accessible on all devices.

Significant Increase in Conversions (195 Leads): The new website design resulted in 195 organic web leads within 9 months, a remarkable improvement compared to 0 leads the previous year.

Organic Search Driving Traffic (44.67%): Organic search sessions accounted for almost half of total sessions in 2024, contributing to 9,115 sessions (44.67% of total traffic), significantly boosting online visibility.

Click-Through Rate (CTR) Improvement (67.55%): The click-through rate saw a dramatic 67.55% increase, rising from 0.86% to 1.43%, indicating improved engagement and more enticing search result snippets.

Improved Search Rankings (14.35%): The average search ranking position improved by 14.35%, from 49 to 42, leading to better visibility in search results and further contributing to increased traffic.
