Project Overview

The goal of this project was to design and develop a high-quality website for Lemon Fresh Bins that effectively showcases their services while providing a seamless user experience. The site was built to highlight the company's eco-friendly bin cleaning solutions, facilitate easy online booking, and enhance the brand's digital presence. By focusing on a clean, professional design and user-friendly navigation, the website helps customers quickly understand the benefits of the service and take action.

Started in 2021, Lemon Fresh Bins was the answer to a problem in the Greater Austin, TX area. Several HOAs require homeowners to keep their garbage cans in their garages. As you can imagine, this leads to many stinky garages, leaving residents fed-up (and grossed out).

While Lemon Fresh Bins isn’t the only garbage can cleaning service in the Austin area, their fun, brightly colored brand, use of lemon-scented eco-friendly odor neutralizer, and owner Lee DeJonge’s experience as a franchisee sets them apart.

I was responsible for building the website based on the provided design layouts, ensuring full functionality and responsiveness. Using WordPress and Beaver Builder, I developed a visually appealing and user-friendly website that aligned with the brand’s identity. My work focused on mobile optimization, improving site performance, and implementing SEO best practices. I also ensured that the site was easy for the client to manage, allowing them to update content such as pricing and forms without needing a developer’s help. While I didn't create the booking system, I integrated it into the website to ensure seamless functionality.

Challenge: Improve UX and Organic Search Position

Solution: The approach was simple; we had to improve the site design to add more conversion elements and calls to action. This would create a far better user experience (UX) for potential customers.

To start, we redesigned and developed the website on a visual WordPress website builder, Beaver Builder, which allowed the client to easily make updates to pricing, sign-up forms, etc., without needing a developer.

We also focused on enhancing the visual appeal of the site by incorporating elements that showcased Lemon Fresh Bins’ unique advantages. 

  • 15% increase in quotes requested, demonstrating a clear boost in customer interest and engagement.

  • 36% increase in keyword ranking, improving the site’s visibility and searchability on major search engines.

  • 44% increase in conversions coming from organic search, showing that the efforts made to improve search visibility had a direct impact on customer actions.
